Description
A.PRESSE jacket inspired by a 1960s “Join the Air Force” military jacket, reinterpreted with carefully adjusted proportions. The shoulder angle is increased and the sleeve cap lowered to create a more natural shoulder line, while the relaxed silhouette is balanced by narrowly designed ribbing. The body is slightly cropped, with a low-positioned chest pocket. Constructed from an ultra-high-density silk-cotton double cloth, the jacket is lined with silk-nylon washer taffeta and finished with hard-twist cotton ribbing. An Asahi zipper completes the construction, with the zipper pull redesigned in a smaller, square shape echoing the chest-pocket zipper. The garment is processed using silk's natural characteristics to give the nylon a mint-condition vintage appearance that reflects the effects of natural ageing. As each piece is garment-processed, variations in texture, colour, sizing and distressing are inherent to the finish.
