Founded in 2019 by three friends from the northern coast of Denmark, Another Aspect has built its reputation on thoughtful design, responsible production, and a measured approach to growth. Ahead of their visit to Barcelona, we sat down with the team to discuss the origins of the brand, the value of personal experience, and why they're in no rush to get where they're going.
In a few words, how did Another Aspect originally start?
Hailing from small towns on the northern coast of Denmark, the three founders of Another Aspect shared a longstanding interest in culture, music, and art. Daniel and Anders moved to Copenhagen, where they studied creative disciplines and worked within the fashion industry, while Nicolaj pursued a career as a professional footballer. The idea of creating something together had been discussed for years. Rooted in shared values and a desire to communicate their vision of responsible design, Another Aspect was eventually founded in 2019.
Has your perspective as founders changed the way you design compared to your earlier seasons?
Everything we do is in constant evolution. Our taste has naturally changed over the years, but we always find ourselves returning to the classics. Those pieces continue to serve as the foundation of what we do.
What excites you about building Another Aspect today?
One of the most rewarding aspects of building an international brand is the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Those encounters bring fresh perspectives to what is ultimately a very personal project. Everything we do is shaped by personal experience, and travel remains a major source of inspiration.
Is there one piece in the current collection that you'd consider the most personal or meaningful?
That's a difficult question. For us, the collection works as a whole. We wear these clothes ourselves every day and approach design from the perspective of our own wardrobes. Whenever we feel that something is missing, we begin developing it.
How do you approach in-store activations with your stockists, and how involved are you in bringing those moments to life?
Being present and meeting our community is incredibly important to us. Spending time with the people who support the brand provides valuable insight and inspiration. Another Aspect has always been built around personal experiences, and travelling to meet people remains an essential part of that process.
What's inspiring you outside of fashion at the moment?
Travelling and meeting creative people. Through Another Aspect, we've had the opportunity to connect with a wide range of inspiring individuals, and those encounters continue to shape how we think and work.
Where do you see Another Aspect evolving over the next few years?
We're building Another Aspect with a long-term perspective. It's very much a slow burn. Our ambition is to create a handful of physical meeting points around the world. That could take many forms, extending beyond retail into hospitality. We could certainly imagine ourselves opening a bar or even a restaurant one day.
Readers' Questions – Before we wrap up, we put a few questions from our readers to the team behind Another Aspect.

What makes the perfect trouser-to-shoe interaction?
There should always be a slight drape over the shoe. It's a subtle detail, but one that has a significant impact on the overall silhouette. For in-store purchases, we work with a tailor who can make any necessary alterations to ensure the trousers fall exactly as intended. Our advice is simple: find a good tailor and make use of them.
Do you still wear sneakers? We mostly see you in derbies, loafers, and boots.
We do. Sneakers still have a place in our wardrobes, even if they appear less frequently these days. And who knows, perhaps one day we'll make our own.
