Description
These cargo trousers from A.Presse are based on the French Army M-47, reworked with a wider silhouette. They have extra room from the hips through the thigh and knee and taper gently toward the hem, and the side cargo pockets are scaled up slightly from the original. The cloth is a “mura” satin, named for the Japanese word for unevenness, and is woven from naturally irregular yarns: a slubbed warp crossed with a heavier-count weft carrying an even stronger slub. Before dyeing, the fabric is pre-treated and lightly brushed, then finished again for maximum softness and loft. The trousers are garment dyed in olive for a vintage, worn-in appearance, so each pair varies in texture, color, size and degree of aging. The original tack buttons are iron and will darken or rust over time as part of the garment’s natural aging. Made in Japan
