Description
The Prisoner Coat is A.Presse’s take on vintage prisoner coats. It is built light and unlined, with a silk-cotton taffeta lining only in the sleeves for comfort. The cloth is a herringbone with a warp of high-micron Merino wool and lambswool blended yarns and a weft of spun white cashmere. Using wool in the warp rather than 100% cashmere lets the fibers interlock and felt during fulling, which gives the fabric a firm, resilient body. The silhouette is a simple A-line with two patch pockets and a button front fastened with original horn buttons. The underside of the collar is Spanish lamb leather, and the seams are finished with narrow piping. Made in Japan
