A.PRESSE's Regular Collar Shirt takes the architecture of a 1950s Brooks Brothers shirt as its direct reference. The short-point regular collar, the front placket set slightly wider than standard, the six-button closure, the deep round tail that drops into deep side slits: these are not decorative decisions but structural ones, each traceable to the proportional and functional logic of mid-century American dress shirts, reinterpreted through A.Presse's research-led approach to essential wardrobe pieces. The fabric is a broadcloth from a Swiss luxury shirting mill. The quality of the raw cotton is high, and the dyeing precision benefits from the clean water and air specific to the production environment. Broadcloth at this level has a smooth, tight weave that presses cleanly, holds its line, and improves with wash rather than degrading. Buttons are mother of pearl. The shirt is delivered one-washed, a process that beds in the cotton and removes the stiffness typical of new shirting fabric. 100% cotton throughout. Made in Japan.
