Description
Refomed's Old Man Long Sleeve Polo is a long-sleeved polo shirt in charcoal, designed around a gathered panel across the back. According to Refomed, the back panel is designed to add volume and a three-dimensional shape to the silhouette, so the piece keeps presence even when worn alone. The polo is knitted from 100% cotton, in a 20/1-count plain jersey knit, known in Japan as tenjiku, a single-knit fabric commonly used for T-shirts and polo shirts. The 20/1 designation refers to the yarn count, a single-ply cotton yarn spun to a 20s grade. The gathering at the back is a technique in which the fabric is drawn in and stitched to create fullness, giving the panel a fuller, three-dimensional form. The cloth is given a finish reminiscent of garment dyeing, a process in which the finished garment is dyed rather than the cloth itself. This leaves the surface with an uneven, faded hand.
