The Drop Crew Boiled Wool in wool is knitted first and then boiled, which shrinks the stitch closed and felts the surface into something denser than the gauge alone would give. The shoulder drops well past the natural line so the sleeve sets low and the body reads wide above the waist. Boiling blocks wind that an open knit lets straight through, and the finished cloth holds its shape without ribbing doing the work.
