Description
The Alda Sport is the Chelsea boot iteration of HEREU's signature ALDA loafer, built on their heaviest outsole. The moccasin construction and braided welt that define the ALDA silhouette are carried over intact, but here entry is handled by elasticated side gussets rather than a zip, and the shaft sits lower on the ankle, reading more urban-utility than classic boot. The upper is Spanish full-grain calf leather, worked by hand using traditional moccasin construction: a method that structures the shoe from a single piece of leather sewn around a visible braided welt. The penny loafer saddle detail sits at the vamp. Woven pull tabs front and back make entry fast without interrupting the silhouette from the side. The outsole is a blown rubber ultralight tread unit with an aggressive lug pattern that tracks closer to a hiking sole than anything associated with loafer construction. At 3 cm heel height, the boot holds a grounded stance without pushing into platform territory. Upper and lining are both full calf leather throughout. Made in Spain by local artisans using local materials. European sizing.
