The Soft DB Coat is Lemaire's take on the double-breasted overcoat, built without internal structure and left to fall according to the weight of the cloth. The "Soft" designation describes a construction philosophy rather than a silhouette adjustment: the coat drapes rather than holds, producing the relaxed, almost sculptural volume that runs through the brand's outerwear line. Wide peak lapels, a generous double-breasted front with four buttons, and a below-knee length set the proportions. The fabric is a 50% wool, 50% alpaca blend with a lightly brushed surface that allows the individual fibres to show in a quiet nap. Alpaca adds warmth and a subtle silkiness to the hand that distinguishes it from a straight wool cloth, while the wool content provides the body and resilience the coat needs to hold its form through repeated wear. In Mud, the colorway reads as a warm khaki-brown that moves between olive and chocolate depending on light, sitting naturally across tonal dressing in earth tones or functioning as a counterweight to darker layering. The silhouette features dropped shoulders that push the shoulder line outward and deepen the A-line drape through the body and hem. Two welt pockets sit at hip level.
