Description
The Machine Knit is a fisherman knit at 8 gauge, which is heavy enough to read as structure and open enough to stay a sweater rather than a coat. The body runs wide, the shoulder drops well past the joint, and the armhole is cut with room the arm does not strictly require. Thin ribbing closes the neck, cuffs and hem, holding the edges without introducing weight where the knit has already made its case. Produced entirely in New South Wales and Victoria, part of MAN-TLE's continuing work mapping the wool suppliers and processors still operating in Australia.
