Description
The N.Dickens takes the tailored trousers of 1940s America and Britain as its starting point and reworks them as resized trousers. The silhouette is shaped through Niceness’s signature folded oversized waistband construction. The fabric reproduces vintage workwear from the 1930s to the 1960s through advanced transfer printing. Fading, repairs and subtle signs of wear are all captured in the print, which is applied onto a 100% wool mélange gabardine. The mélange base gives the printed stripe depth and texture. The result carries the proportions of 1940s tailoring with the surface of well-worn workwear. The trousers sit high at the waist, with belt loops, slanted side pockets and a pressed crease down each leg. Printed repair marks appear at the knees. The leg is cut wide and finished with a plain hem. Made in Japan.
