The Wool Melton Harrington Jacket takes a shape that usually arrives in cotton and puts it in melton instead, which is a heavier proposition than the Harrington was ever built for. Melton is milled until the fibres felt into each other and the weave disappears, so the cloth cuts without fraying and blocks wind by density alone. The result sits closer to a short coat than a blouson.
