A.PRESSE Vintage After-Hoody Sweatshirt is based on an early vintage “after-hoody” sweatshirt, featuring a snap-button front inspired by a rare detail found on some of the oldest surviving examples. The deliberately distorted pocket, off-balance V-gusset and comically small hood that cannot actually be worn faithfully reproduce the collapsed, imperfect proportions characteristic of authentic vintage sweatshirts. The brushed-back fleece was developed through detailed analysis of vintage pieces. The slightly heavier face yarn and half-brushed interior recreate the texture and character of aged fleece. Each garment is hand-finished by skilled artisans to create natural-looking variations in colour, wear and age-related damage. Every piece is therefore unique, with scuffs, small scratches and other irregularities intentionally forming part of the design. Some colours may have lower lightfastness as part of the process used to achieve the authentic vintage appearance.
