Description
A.PRESSE reinterprets the classic Detroit jacket through a refined Japanese approach, combining a compact silhouette with a relaxed body and natural shoulder construction. The shoulder pleats are removed, the shoulder angle is softened and the sleeve cap lowered for improved comfort and ease of movement.
The jacket is crafted from a yarn-dyed heavy silk-cotton twill, woven with spun silk in the warp and fine-count cotton in the weft. Its pronounced twill structure gives the fabric excellent resistance to creasing and allows wrinkles to naturally recover. The body features a self-fabric double-layer construction, while the sleeves are lined in quilted silk-nylon washer taffeta with a thin layer of padding.
The outer collar is made from cotton-silk moleskin woven from organic cotton and silk. Finished with a riri zipper and Fiocchi snap buttons, the jacket undergoes garment processing to reproduce a subtle, natural aged appearance rather than heavy vintage distressing. Each piece develops its own variations in colour, texture and finish.
