Description
Portal's Level Alpha Jacket is an insulated shell jacket, offered here in Black Beauty. The brand designs it for all-round active use, and in size medium the jacket weighs 330 grams. The shell is cut from 100% recycled nylon, a 58 GSM fabric (grams per square metre) that Portal describes as wind-resistant. The lining is 100% recycled polyester, in the form of recycled Polartec Alpha Direct 90. The trims are dipped in silicone, which according to Portal adds grip.Portal uses a root shoulder construction to give range of movement and places ventilation panels under the arms. Two zipped hand pockets are joined by a zipped chest pocket on the inside. The adjustable halo hood rolls away into a stand collar, the hem adjusts at the waist, and thumb loops draw the sleeves down over the hands in cold weather.Portal intends the jacket to be worn as an outer shell over a base or mid layer. The body is slightly cropped, which the brand says leaves freedom of movement.
